Entomology Colloquium Series

The Department of Entomology has an amazing seminar series.  Each Friday, invited speakers join us in the conference room (Waters 129) for lunch.  At 1 pm snacks and drinks are set out for some 'social' time with our guests, then at 1:30 they begin their seminar.

In addition to maintaining a high caliber of speakers, each year the department recognizes alumni and other scientists for their contributions to the science of entomology via the Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Theodore L. Hopkins Distinguished Colloquium Award.  The students also honor a speaker.  Each year they select a guest speaker and sponsor his or her visit to the department.
